What this is
These terms govern your use of the Rumi app and this website, both published by Kami Apps. By downloading or using the app you accept them.
The app is licensed to you, not sold. You may use it on the devices your Apple Account allows, for your own personal use.
Religious content
Rumi presents Qur'anic text, translations, hadiths, du'as and calculated prayer times as a reference. It explains well-known scholarly positions and shows the sources they rest on.
Rumi does not issue fatwas and is not a substitute for a qualified scholar. Nothing in the app constitutes a binding religious ruling, and nothing in it is medical, legal or financial advice.
Prayer times are computed from published calculation methods. Where your mosque or local authority publishes a different timetable, theirs governs your practice.
The halal scanner
The scanner analyses the ingredient text you photograph and reports what it finds, with a confidence level. It cannot inspect a supply chain, and labels change without notice.
It is an aid, not a certification. Where a product's status matters to you, rely on the manufacturer's statement or a recognised certification body.
Subscriptions
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that point. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the app or the services behind it, and do not use the assistant to produce content that is unlawful or that misrepresents itself as a religious ruling from a scholar.
We may suspend access to the paid services if they are being abused in a way that degrades them for other people.
Liability and changes
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Kami Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use, including from a prayer time, a scan result or an answer that turns out to be wrong for your situation.
These terms may change as the app changes. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last did, and continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
Turkish law governs these terms, without prejudice to consumer rights you hold where you live.
